Waujungsa is a temple for serving prayer for defense of the fatherland built by a Buddhist priest Haewol, a refugee from northern Korea, for the purpose of sublimating, in reliance upon Buddha's charity, the anguish of losing native land in unification of nation and indomitable will,. It is worth visiting to see the largest Wabul(which means Buddha Lying On The Side) in the world. The Wabul positioned in Hall of Nirvana which is a Buddhist sanctum was carved out of a whole juniper tree imported from Indonesia, whose mystic and reverential atmosphere makes us adjust the neckband of our clothes.

Mirinae Sacred Place is located at a valley in Sangchon, Misan-Ri Yangsung-Myun, Ansung City, Kyungki-Do. This is the place entombed Father Kim Daegun who is the first Catholic priest in Korea and became a martyr, and believer in Catholicism sought refugee under religious persecution. In 1895, Catholic church was built, and in May 1984, the Pope Paulus II visited Korea and performed a canonization ceremony endowing 103 martyrs with saint position. And Father Kim Daegun was paid respect as a saint.

Ichon hot springs is a spot with its 500-year-old associations. A local legend has it that a farmer, wondering the warm springs all the year round, washed his face and his eye disease was cured.
